A jungle at the darkest hour, painted almost entirely in blues: a bamboo stalk on the left, fronds fanning across the foreground, vines and small leaves catching a faint teal light near the top. There is no figure, or none that shows.
It asks for a dark room and a little patience. The layers only separate once your eyes adjust, and then the depth keeps going. It is the quietest painting in the collection.
