A field of rose, violet and grey, stained and spattered, with drips running down from a pale pink shape in the upper half. In the bottom right corner a very small creature stands on a thin stem, looking out at all that space.
Most of the picture is surface: pooled and blotted paint, sanded back and layered again. The creature is almost an afterthought, and that is the point. It is a painting about scale, and about being small in something large and beautiful.
