Lookout

A small green creature with huge round eyes and pointed ears clings to a twisted grey branch, its tail hanging down, its claws just over the edge. The branch runs the width of the picture and turns back on itself at the right. Behind it the night is a deep blue that lifts to teal near the bottom, with sprays of leaves in the corners.

The eyes hold most of the light in the painting, two blue and pink rings around black. The creature is looking straight at you and does not seem to mind being found.
