Climb

A tiny teal creature clings to a bamboo stem at the far left of a golden, misted canvas. Bamboo, ferns and a leaning tree are drawn in thin olive lines that fade in and out of a ground of mottled yellow and green, sprayed so softly that the whole picture reads as fog.

Everything is quiet except the climber, painted in the one cool colour in the picture. It is the smallest thing on the canvas and the only thing you look at.
