Brew

An orange creature with the tentacles of an octopus perches on the lid of a small dark teapot, its two eyes goggling in different directions. Around it the ground is a field of rust, ochre and burnt orange, spattered and mottled like corrosion, darkening to near black at the edges.

The subject is almost lost in the texture, painted in the same oranges as the background and drawn out only by the black of the teapot and the whites of its eyes. It is a picture about surface first and creature second.
