Heart Rock

A dark, twisted form grows out of a red pot, part root, part rock, part animal, with a small red heart set into its chest. Branches with lilac leaves reach across an orange speckled ground, and at the bottom the pot rests on the head of a creature hidden in blue ferns, one eye open.

The upper half is warm and airy and the lower half is night. The heart is the only thing in the picture painted plainly, which is how you know it matters, and the sleeping thing underneath is the reason to look twice.
